Store HistoryThree local Boulder women with a passion for clothing and a flair for fashion founded JJWells in 1982. The original location, on Main Street in Longmont, Colorado, gave JJWells its start but JJWells eventually found its home in Boulder, Colorado under the ownership of Dana Culbertson, JoAnna Grant, Ella Jones and Stephanie McKay. Now located in the Village Shopping Center, on the corner of Folsom and Canyon, The "JJWells’ Experience" is designed to create a woman's shopping sanctuary that is authentic; where self-acceptance and internal beauty act to transform and enrich the client's life. For the past 27 years, JJWells has supported community non-profits such The Boulder Community Hospital, The YWCA and other local schools and charities.
JJWells promotes locally owned business and has been supportive in this effort through membership and participation in organizations such as The Boulder Chamber of Commerce, Village Merchants Association and Downtown Boulder, Inc. and others. We look forward to having the opportunity to meet you!

You have successfully created the perfect personal and professional blend, ME!
Dana Culbertson Having inherited her mother’s passion for clothing and her father’s love for people, being part owner of JJWells was a perfect fit. She enjoys helping others find solutions to their wardrobe needs and making friends and building relationships in the process. When Dana and her husband Sam find time away from their businesses, they enjoy cycling and hiking in the summer and skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
Stephanie McKay In thinking about writing this bio, I wondered …. “what is it that people want to know about me?” I decided it wasn’t where I was born, how many sibling I have, or where I graduated from college. It’s how I spend my time, what makes me happy, and what I am truly passionate about. So, here’s the lowdown! I spend most of my mornings working out and then enjoying a special coffee, my days at the corporate offices of JJWells and Besos, and my evenings puttering around my 100 year old Victorian house in Longmont or being with friends. I am most happy when running a mountain trail, listening to great music, drinking fine wine, and eating dark chocolate. And, finally, I’m passionate about my family and friends, my global volunteer work, and living life with high energy and a positive attitude.
